Just 8 foods account for 90% of all food alleriges.  They are eggs, milk, fish, shellfish, soya, gluten, peanuts, and tree nuts (e.g. walnuts and almonds).  It is typically the protein compounds of a food that are responsible for the allergic response.  Always remember to check food labels carefully.  The table below outlines foods that commonly contain peanuts, eggs, milk, gluten, soya as ingredients.
