"helping those who learn differently"
Is your child bright, but struggling at nursery school or junior/secondary school? If you feel that your child may have a learning difficulty, please access our short online surveys on our website to see whether your child might benefit from additional learning development.
NILD therapists see students with learning difficulties on a one-on-one basis, providing intensive and interactive teaching on, “how to think” rather than “what to think”.
The focus of NILD educational therapy is to develop clear, efficient thinking and build self-confident, independent learners. Students are given tools to enable them to overcome specific learning weaknesses. Our well researched techniques help re-train the brain and stimulate areas of weakness in processing, memory, attention, language and maths. NILD educational therapy treats the underlying causes of learning difficulties, rather than treating the symptoms.
NILD Zimbabwe assess children between 5 and 7 years age with our early intervention perceptual assessment (Search and Teach). We are the only practitioners in Zimbabwe who have the Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement, which is a well recognised academic assessment.
