|Rainbow Fruit Platter|
|Rainbow Fruit Skewers|
|Korn Kurl Bumble Bees|
|Break up crisps and insert two pieces into each side of the korn kurl for wings. Then paint the stripes and faces using Marmite or Bovril.
|Monkey Tail Sandwiches|
|You will need 2 slices from 1 loaf of white bread, cut lengthways, and a filling of your choice (suggested chicken and avocado). Remove crust from bread, then using a rolling pin, flatten each slice. Make the filling and spread 2 slices of bread with the mixture. Starting from 1 short end, roll up bread tightly to enclose filling. Cut each roll into 4 slices. Place sandwiches, cut-side up, on a large plate. Serve.
|Biscuits with Marshmallow Flowers|
|Sift icing sugar into a bowl and stir in ½ teaspoon of water at a time until you get a smooth, spreadable paste. Cut marshmallows horizontally. Spread a biscuit (Marie biscuits or Digestives will do) with icing and top with five marshmallow halves (sticky side up). Pinch the marshmallows in the corner to get more of a petal shape. Push a smartie into the centre of the biscuit and sprinkle with a few 100’s and 1000’s to add the finishing touch.
|Slice cucumber diagonally into 2cm-thick slices. Using a teaspoon, make a 2.5cm-wide hole in each cucumber slice, being careful not to go all the way through. Quarter the pepper, remove and discard seeds and membrane. Cut 1 pepper quarter into a large, flat square. Cut square in half diagonally to form 2 triangles. Spoon 1 teaspoon of dip (maybe humus) into each cucumber slice. Place on a plate, then lightly press a pepper triangle into the dip to form a sail.
|You will need 1 large grapefruit, large black olive, cocktail sticks, liquorice strips and cocktail sausages. To make the hedgehog’s eyelashes, curl short lengths of licorice by wrapping them around a pencil and securing with tightly wrapped silver foil. Set aside for 30 minutes for the eyelashes to take shape. Cut a thin slice off the base of the grapefruit so that it sits flat, then using a sharp knife, make two slits for the eyes and insert the licorice eyelashes. To form the hedgehog’s nose, attach the olive to the grapefruit using half a cocktail stick. Cook the sausages, spear with cocktail sticks (toothpicks) and stick into the grapefruit to form the hedgehog’s spikes.
|Jelly Orange Quarters|
|You will need 4 large oranges, halved; 2 x 135g packets of jelly such as raspberry, strawberry, peach, orange or lime – choose two colours. With a sharp knife remove the inside flesh of the oranges and carefully scrape out the membrane, taking care not to make a hole in the skin of the oranges. Make up the jelly but follow the instructions using only half the amount of water as you will need a more concentrated jelly to hold its shape. Fill each of the hollow orange halves with jelly right to the top. If you like, you can place them in muffin or bun trays to keep them steady. Refrigerate until set and then trim the orange halves so that the skin of the oranges is level with the jelly. Cut the oranges in half again with a sharp knife.
|Thread washed and dried grapes onto skewers and then dot icing on the back of chocolate chips and place as eyes on each caterpillar.
